Q:Who is your favorite co-write, and do you ever make set times to co-write or is it more of a feeling/in the moment, kind of thing for you?
--Tyler Bailey
Weston, W. Va.
A: Tyler, my favorite co-write at the moment is getting to write with David Lee Murphy and Kim Tribble. Sometimes an idea hits me and sometimes I pick a topic to write about. Thanks for the question -- good one!
-- John
Q:Hello John, My husband and a friend of ours got lucky enough to happen upon you at Tootsie's on Thursday night and I have to say the honesty and passion you bring to the stage is AMAZING! The way you sang "I Bleed Country" really grabbed me and I wanted to say thank you for that! Hell, every song you played was great! My husband and I loved you and will definately make it a point to come see you there again! Keep it coming John...your AWESOME!

Q: Im a 22-year old guy who was born and raised in Fort Payne, Al. I have come to find we have a lot in common. I grew up very simple and music has a big impact on my life much like yourself. I currently live in Montgomery, where I recently graduated college from. When listening to your song "Boy From Alabam" it really makes me think that you and I have had very similar experiences. This song more than hits home for me and poses a question I would like to ask you. What kinds of experinces have you had in Montgomery? Thank you for your time John and I will see you at Club 21 in Guntersville!
-- Brad
Fort Payne, Alabama
A:Hello Brad,
The raisin' hell in Montgomery line was my co-writer on that song's idea. The spending a night or two in jail in Fort Payne was mine. The experiences I have had in Montgomery is just a few...like drinkin' a beer with Hank at his grave site, and and playing a bar or two there. I lived every line of the rest of that song though! Thanks for the question!
--John
Q: I heard a new song from you on 105.1 and I loved it -- "I Bleed Country". When and where can I find it?
--Derek
Guntersville, Alabama
A: Derek! Thanks for the email. I Bleed Country will be on my new cd and should be out sometime in June. I will have all the information and release details on this site soon!
--John
Q: I just wanted to tell you & your band what a rockin time I had with my friends last night (Monday April 27th) @ Tootsie's. Remember the loud dude in the corner???(MEMPHIS IN THE HOUSE!!!!) You guys have great stage presence and the music rocks. Being from Memphis and always being about the music, I have seen performances from Eric Clapton to Roy Clark to KISS, Garth, Black Sabbath. I've even seen Stevie Ray Vaughn and I had more fun at your show than anything I have been to in a long, long time. I'm keepin' a watch for the new release. Best of luck to you and keep doing your thing!
-- Charlie
Memphis, Tenn.
A: Dang Charlie, that's pretty good company you put us in. Not sure we deserve it, but thanks. We appreciate you guys coming in and for the support! It was good to have Memphis in the house!
--John
Q: You are awesome. I am so glad that you were at Tootsies. I introduced my co-workers to Tootsies when we were all down there. They love you. You said you had a CD for sale but I never saw where to purchase it. Can you please tell me how to get your CD? Loved your show!
-- Sandy Lutz
Paducah, Kentucky
A; Thanks Sandy! We will have an online store on this site very, very soon. As for my CD, for now you can purchase a copy of my first CD at www.walmart.com. It is called "Meet John Stone". The new one is in the works. I have been in the studio all day and we're knocking it out. As soon as it is ready I will send out an email so be sure to sign up for the mailing list!

Q: Hey John! I was in Nasvhille Wednesday night last week (Apr 15) and I caught your show at Tootsies! We all had a great time!! I was wondering who your bassist was that night. He had a great presence and hilarious interaction with the crowd. PS- You really need to play some shows in Indianapolis!
-- Danny
Lafayette, Indiana
A: My bass player's name is Brannon McCaleb, and he is definitely a nut. He was a good find. Thanks for coming to the show, and I hope to see you at another one soon! I love Indianapolis and all my friends in Indiana and hope to get up that way soon!
--John
Q: I was at your Tootsies shows the past two nights and was very impressed. Out of all the great musicians in Nashville, you stood out from the rest (I'm sure you've heard this before). I was wondering about your guitar (as I'm a guitarist/singer for a country band here in N. Dallas). It wasnt a Fender Tele, so I was wondering what it was/is? Is it a custom? Thanks for the good memories of Nashville. I will do my part to promote you down here in Dallas.
-- Jimmie Davidson
Dallas, Texas
A: Hey Jimmie D! Thanks for the note. The guitar I play is a Copley. I had an endorsement deal with them for awhile. It has Seymore Duncan noiseless pickups in it. I also play through a Reinhardt amp that I just got. Thanks a lot and hope to see you in Dallas sometime!
-- John
Q: I am one of the managers from Texas Roadhouse in Muncie. We meet last summer after a private concert in Muncie. That was a fun night. Anyways, I was going to see if you could send a copy of your new CD to me so I can play it at the Roadhouse. We have several guest that really like your music. Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon.
-- Tony Alexander
Muncie, Indiana
A: Hey Tony,
Thanks for the request for some Stone music. I love Muncie and all the good people there. Hello to everyone at the Roadhouse! I will be back in the studio in the next week or so, and I will make sure you get an early copy. Thanks for the support!
-- John
Q: Not so much a question. I just wanted to complement you on your music. I saw you at Tootsie's on Monday. Usually, with a band that sings requests songs, I would rather hear those as opposed to the bands original songs. But your songs were awesome! Perfect for Nashville! You are a great addition to country music! I wish you lots of success and luck in the future!
-- Crystal Mize
Birmingham, Alabama
A: Thanks Crystal! Hope you had a good time hanging with us at Tootsies and look forward to seeing you again soon!
--John
Q: The new site looks good man. I see you are going to be back in Champaign on May 23rd!!! We already have a group planning on making the trip once again, can't wait. Even though you don't currently have a label, you have any plans to do any cd's? Would love to get my hands on some of your newer songs!!!
-- Randall Gates
Montezuma, Indiana
A: I will be back in the studio March 17th to record the new record!!!!!! I am very pumped about it!
--John
P.S. Tell Lisa, Randilynn, and little "Hank" hello for me!
Q: Alright, be honest, do you EVER get sick of hearing Sweet Home Alabama?
-- Katherine,
Spokane, Washington
A: Folks will probably think I'm lying, but I don't. Funny question though!
--John
Q: I am so excited about your new website, I have been following you since we first saw you in Nashville about 4 years ago and was on your "first"fan club list,so I am glad you sent your updated web site!!!! I just wanted to see if you were going to be in Nashville the week of June for Music festival?
--Robin Washburn
Salisbury, Maryland
A: Hello Robin,
I will be in Nashville for the CMA Fest. I will probably be playing at Tootsie's during the week of the festival! Please stop in!
-- John
Q: John, this isn't a question it is actually a suggestion from a fan who believes you are very talented. I was at your fan club gathering in Nashville for 2007 CMA Festival and gave information to your manager. I truly would love to hear you on our local radio station (which played many stars before they became famous and now they play concerts in our area) and see you in concert hear in the Atlantic City & Philadelphia area. If you would like more information please let me know. I am just very glad to have you back in action!
--Sandy
Galloway, New Jersey
A: Sandy,
If there is a radio station up there that would play some of my tunes, I would appreciate some more information. Thanks for being a fan over the years, and I hope you will be around for even longer!
-- John
Q: John, you need to come to the new country bar Bad Habits in Auburn, AL. Haven't seen you play in awhile. On a side note, I heard you play a song once about riding in a truck on a dirt road. Sorry, I can't remember much of it but I loved that song. Is that an original and do you have plans to record it?
-- Tyler Monday
Auburn, Alabama
A: Hi Tyler,
That song is called "Where Have All The Good Times Gone", it is mine, and yes it will be on the new record! Thanks for asking! I will check out the bar you are talking about!
--John

It is good to hear from you. I was very disappointed that I could not make the festival in Tamworth this year. As for your question, I will be at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge in Nashville on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights for awhile and should be there while you are in town.
--John
P.S. I have been watching the fires in Australia on the news and I am heart broken. My condolences and deepest sympathies go out to everyone affected by the fires.
